Technical Director, Rigging

 Job Description:

Responsible for shaping the characters 3D geometry and the delivery of a well-designed set of animation controls for manipulating that geometry in animated films

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Maya- animation section, character rigging and scale control. Ability to solve comprehensive rigging problems
• Proficiency in Maya mel and Python. Experience in rigging programming, with the ability to accomplish simple but effective rigging setting. Provide and refine an articulation of the full range of e
• xpressions and body movement needed to support a character’s acting range in the film
• 3+ years of work experience, with a solid understanding of structure decomposition, perspective and layout
• Passionate about art and animation production. Devoted to animation production. Good artistic flair and talent
• Demonstrated fast learning and problem solving capabilities; ability to work with a team; demonstrate a sense of humor
• English communication skills are preferred

Effects Artists

Job Description:

Responsible for adding natural or supernatural characters or things to animated films, according to the requests from the VFX supervisors

Create effects based on concept art and design. Compose special effects for shots and sequences; work with the lighting department to ensure composition of effects layer and render layer

Preliminary simulation optimization and troubleshooting

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in effects production for animation, films or personal DemoReel
• Proficiency in Maya and Houdini. Familiar with simulation of fluids and particles
• Proficiency in composing layers in Nuke. Familiar with Mel or Python scripts
• Experience in water, fire, smoke or explosions simulation in movies is preferred
• Experience in Arnold is preferred
• Strong communication and interpretation skills

Job Description:

Lighting Artist

Job Description:

• 2+ years of experience in digital animation or visual effects. Understanding of production lighting. Proficiency in Maya, Nuke etc.
• Experience in applying lighting effects to a 3D scene. Understanding of level setting, use of channel and composition
• Knowledge of optimizing render settings. Ability to solve render problems and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Arnold and Katana is preferred
• Strong sense of light and color; attention to detail. Knowledge of depth of field, light exposure and HDR

Qualifications:

• According to the requests from the light supervisor, the lighting artist should render the images and passes the sequence through the pipeline for final compositing
• Work with the light department leader and Technical Director to solve problems
• Complete tasks on time

 Job Description:

Create the CG character, environment, and hard surface models of an animated feature in three dimensions. Work closely with art directors to be sure that all models conform to the intended design and visual style of the animated film

Qualifications:

• A strong artistic ability and a high level of creativity. A bachelor’s or equivalent degree in fine arts, sculptures or a similar field. A solid understanding of shape and space modeling
• 3+ years of experience in animation modeling; proficiency with Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop etc.
• Passionate about animation production and devoted to the animation industry
• Demonstrated fast learning ability and work ethics. Have strong communication skills, the ability of working in a team and a sense of humor
• Experience in texture painting is preferred
• English communication skills are preferred
