Character Animator

Job Summary 
An animator creates motions, gestures, and expressions of animated characters and objects that meet required direction. Emotions are conveyed by placing emphasis on a combination of body language and facial expressions.

Requirements 

Possess a strong understanding of traditional animation principles.
Knowledge of applicable software packages including Maya required.
Minimum requirement of 6 - 10 years production experience or feature film experience preferred.
Background or experience in fine art which shows a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance and form highly desired.
Possess strong storytelling skills. Ability to use acting skills to breathe life appearances, characteristics and movement for characters, as well as communicate clearly simple ideas with which the audience can identify with.
Ability to adapt and work collaboratively under pressure, in a fast paced deadline driven environment. Must be open to direction and able to embrace change
A passion to understand and create human and nonhuman animation.
