Project Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor the project progress during the development of the full range of production assets for a show and know its status at any given moment.
- Update the production schedule for various important processes in the production pipeline.
- To work closely with the Production Manager to ensure all production team members complete their assignments on schedule, and pursue targets with timely reminders when anyone falls behind.
- Arrange meetings for production staff to keep abreast of production matters.
- Organize the relevant important information and circulate it promptly to the Management and the Production Crew Supervisors & Leads, both within Sparky and with those of third party collaborators.
- Correspond with the involved parties, via e-mail or instant messaging, with up to the minute information.
- Organize and consolidate all production material provided by the client at the FTP site.
- Organize and consolidate all our production material and deliverables and prepare them for submission to the client via the FTP site.
- To work closely with the Production Supervisors & Leads to understand any production problems that arise and liaise with the client to present the issues convincingly before them and follow through until the problems are resolved without delay.
- Coordinate more than one project at the same time, multi-tasking between them.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in similar capacity.
- At least a Diploma holder or equivalent qualifications.
- Must be able to work well under pressure, and follow closely to the schedule.
- Good organizational, planning and project management skills.
- Able to multi-task, work independently and prioritize workloads effectively.
- Excellent spoken and written skills in English, ability to converse in Mandarin and Malay will be preferred.
- Self-motivated, independent and target-oriented.

Conceptual Artist
Responsibilities:
- To work on conceptual design and illustration of characters, props and locations.
- Delivery of detailed drawing of characters, props and locations for 3D production.
- To determine color scheme and textural attributes for the characters, props and locations.
- Provide model sheets/2D turnarounds of the designs.
- Storyboarding based on the film scripts (optional).
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ professional work experience in at least one of the following areas: drawing comics, drawing animals, character design, location design etc. A good cartoonist is a must.
- At least a Diploma holder or equivalent qualifications.
- Must able to work well under pressure, and follow schedule closely.
- Ability to multi-task and response fast to the retakes.
- Proficient in Digital painting software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrators, and/or Painter. (Note: Having traditional drawing skill is not enough.)
- A comprehensive portfolio is essential.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers.

CG Asset Artist (Modeling & Texture Painting)
Responsibilities:
- Modeling of characters, props and environments.
- Creation and manipulation of UV maps.
- Texture painting and mapping.
- Collaborating with a group of technical staff to establish a workflow and a pipeline for facilitating the texturing process.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ professional work experience in CG commercial projects.
- At least a Diploma holder or equivalent qualifications.
- Proficient in the use of Photoshop and Autodesk Maya.
- Familiarity with other CG softwares i.e. 3D Studio Max, Mudbox or ZBrush is a plus.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers.
- Must be able to multi task and handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong knowledge of figure anatomy and the underlying biomechanics structure of a variety of characters.
- Good understanding of polygonal mesh flow and how it relates to deformation.

Character Technical Director
Responsibilities:
- Create versatile character rigs and animation interfaces to suit the requirements of the production.
- Sculpt blendshapes and create character facial rigs.
- Create rigs for props and locations too.
- Test the rigs before passing to animation team.
- Troubleshoot and improve the rigs in response to feedback from other departments.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ extensive experience in character setup for animation or film industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Animation, Computer Science or other relevant areas of study, OR demonstrable skill set in rigging and tool development.
- Experience in developing tools using Maya API and/or MEL to improve the productivity of the process of character animation.
- Experience in setting up cloth/hair/dynamics simulation rigs is a bonus.
- Proficiency in MEL and/or Python and/or Maya API and/or C++.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers.
- Must be able to multi task and handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Good understanding of polygonal mesh flow and how it relates to deformation.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers.
- Good sculpting/modeling skills with the ability to translate 2d concept expression sheets into 3d blendshape targets.
- Good aesthetic sense to sculpt appealing blendshape targets when concept expression sheets are not provided.
- Appreciation for physics and kinematics.
- Eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot and solve rig issues for artists from various disciplines.

Layout Artist
Responsibilities:
- Based on provided storyboard/animatics, to create sequences of shots with the necessary set up.
- To work on character posing, camera positioning and camera motions etc.
- To be able to spot and solve continuity issues in the sequences.
- To be able to solve simple animation problems, such as character floating or penetrating.
Requirements:
- At least 1 years’ experience in CGI production.
- At least a Diploma holder or equivalent qualifications.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Maya is a must.
- Must be able to multi task and handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Knowledge of cinematography a plus, i.e. camera composition, movement, timing, direction etc

Lead, CG Animator
Responsibilities:
- To lead the animation team, mentor and guide the animators.
- Review all animation submissions and ensure the quality of the works technically and creatively.
- Take initiative to study the character rigging, ensure that the functionality and the animation requirements are achievable. Identify rigging mistakes and propose solutions to improve it when necessary.
- Produce lively and appealing character animation by interpreting the key sequences depicted in given storyboards.
- To generate character animation cycles with personality.
- May have to devote moderate effort in animation blocking.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ extensive experience in leading a 3D Character Animation team.
- A degree, or diploma, or equivalent qualification from an animation program is preferred.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Maya is a must.
- Able to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with co-workers.
- Must be able to multi task and handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to prioritize and assign tasks for the animation team to meet production deadlines.

Lighting/Compositing Artist
Responsibilities:
- To work with Lighting/Compositing Lead to establish lighting direction on individual shots in a CG show.
- Setup location and character lighting for individual shots in a CG show.
- Compositing of rendered layers, as well as effects layers from the special effects team.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ professional work experience in CG commercial projects.
- Proficient in Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects, Nuke and Fusion.
- Proficient in mentalray rendering techniques. Understanding in other rendering techniques will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with other 3D software, plug-ins and compositing packages will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates are also welcomed to apply as a Junior Lighting/Compositing Artist.

Visual Effect Technical Director
Responsibilities:
- Create setup for simulating and generating special effects using animation controls and dynamics.
- Developing tools and pipeline to improve the productivity of simulation and generation of special effects.
- Guide, troubleshoot and support VFX artists in designing various challenge effects.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ extensive experience in setup for generating special effects.
- A degree, or diploma, or equivalent qualification from a visual effect program is preferred.
- Experience in developing tools using Maya API and/or MEL to improve the efficiency of the effects simulation process.
- Extensive knowledge in the Dynamics Module of Maya is a must.
- Experience in MEL and/or Maya API and/or C++ is a plus.
- Proficient in Autodesk Maya, Houdi.
- Proficient in Realflow or Naiad.
- Proficient in Adobe After Effects and Fusion with experience in using plugins to create compositing effects’
- Be a great team player and communicate well with teammate from different background and culture.
- Be a self intiative with creative mind and a desire for challenge.
