ART DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Taking care of departmental schedules and reporting systems
- Assisting in maintaining quotas, deadlines and inventory, ensuring that departmental productivity goals are consistently met
- Supporting studio and production directives
- Coordinating and preparing meetings, handling requests and providing communication
- Assisting new joiners with orientation tasks (help with material, IT, settling in etc.)
- Taking care of various administrative tasks and providing support to the production team (e.g. typing memos, preparing documents and schedules, photocopying, filing)
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to use Photoshop and FileZilla on a basic level
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English, both written and spoken
- French and Finnish skills are seen as a plus
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

PRODUCTION MANAGER
Rovio has been growing rapidly after the phenomenal success of Angry Birds and the growth keeps on going! We are now looking for a Production Manager to join our Animation team in Espoo, Finland.
Production Manager's main task is to keep the project together and make it run smoothly. Production Manager adjusts the production workflow and pipeline in order to get the best possible outcome creatively and in quality within the given schedule. Production Manager works closely with the Producer being her/his right hand going into detail with the production.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Implementing the overall production plan
- Creating and updating schedules
- Following each department’s progress, being aware of the status of the project at all times and reporting to the producer and management team
- Driving all priorities and schedules to hit weekly goals, troubleshooting when needed
- Implementing/changing/enhancing workflow for project
- Mastering of logistics (schedule, inventory, locks/approvals)
- Pointing person for deliveries to and from subcontractor
- Managing the coordinator/production team
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in animation production
- Proficiency in Excel, Project, Google Docs, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
- Good knowledge of the creative side of animation production and understanding every step of an animated production
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Good communication and management skills
- Organized way of working and can do –attitude
In this role you need to make fast decisions in a fast paced environment without jeopardizing the schedule or the quality of the artistic output. Communicating changes in the schedule, creative problem solving and managing resources are important aspects of the role. Production Manager is often at the crossfire of Producer, Department Heads, Directors, individual Artists and Production Crew members and managing their expectations is an important part of the role. In this role you will be coordinating different projects throughout the company under the supervision of the Audio Production Manager, and you will be responsible for the department’s/process output.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Partnering with the supervisors to put in place the workflow for the department
- Partnering with the supervisors to build a functional team of artists
- Organizing and coordinating cross-department meetings, crew meetings, production meetings and reviews
- Handling requests made by crew members, Directors, Department Leads, Production Management and other Producers
- Taking ownership of the weekly goals and partnering with the Audio Production Manager to meet them
- Knowing the audio material
- Knowing the requirements of other departments
- Communicating with artists about deadlines and workload
- Making sure approved work is passed on to the next department/process/team members
Requirements:
- Preferably 2+ years industry experience in the field of animation, games or music production working as a Production Coordinator
- Experience in audio production
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Project, Google Docs, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
In this role you need to be strong team player with good communications skills and ability to facilitate resources across departments and divisions. Excellent written and oral English skills are also essential in this role.

ANIMATION SUPERVISOR
Rovio has been growing rapidly after the phenomenal success of Angry Birds and the growth keeps on going! We are now looking for an Animation Supervisor to join our Animation Studio in Espoo, Finland.
Animation Supervisor oversees the animation process and is responsible for all aspects of the animation in an animation project. This includes the style of the animation, the technique used and the style of the characters. Animation Supervisor works with the director. Where the director is in charge of the overall process, Animation Supervisor (or Directing Animator) directs the animation part of the production. Animation Supervisor works with Lead/Senior Animators and Animators and supervises their work.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Directing and supervising the animation process in an animation production
- Being responsible for the quality of the animation, for keeping it on brief, and for delivering consistent performances by assigning, or casting, the appropriate animators
- Supervising and reviewing the work produced by the Animators and Assistants, understanding the implications of performance, style, quality, continuity, technical, scheduling and budgetary requirements
- Being responsible for keeping the animation on model (in style) throughout the production
- Providing the main liaison between the animation department and those who are involved in the later stages of the production process
Reguirements:
- Solid animation experience of TV series
- Vast experience in different forms of animation
- Effective communication skills and project management skills
- Former leadership/supervising experience
- Fluent English
Animation Supervisor must be able to take the overall responsibility in an animation project. Being able to lead the animation in collaborative process with multiple teams is a core quality for an Animation Supervisor. All aspects of the animation are under the supervision of the Animation Supervisor. Together with the Director, Animation Supervisor must be able to lead an animation project successfully, meeting the project deadlines and the quality standards set by the client. Excellent communication skills in English are also essential in this role.

3D ARTIST, GAMES

We are now seeking a positive, energetic and collaborative 3D Artist for Games to join us in Espoo, Finland. As 3D Artist you will create game art from initial concept to final delivery and perform duties required in making the game. You’ll be able to participate in the game design in your projects as well.
Requirements:
- Excellent painting and drawing skills
- Minimum of +3 years of relevant game industry work experience
- Expertise in 3D modeling, UV-mapping
- Excellent vision of what looks great and ability to communicate that vision
- Expertise with an industry standard 3D application (Maya preferred)
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Strong interest in video games
- Ability to hand paint vibrant and stylized textures
- Ability to deliver 3D assets under tight deadlines
- Knowledge in quality and time management
- Willingness to learn and grow as a professional
Desirable skills:
- Experience in rigging and animation
- Knowledge in technical low-poly constraints set by mobile phones.
- Experience with Unity3D
