LIGHTER / COMPOSITOR:
Talented artists to assemble shots in
production. The position requires a strong eye for lighting and
composition, with a keen eye for detail. An expert understanding of
image based lighting techniques is needed. Candidates require the
ability to hard surface model props and vehicles, along with environment
modeling and some FX. A minimum of 1-2 years of production experience
is required along with and expert knowledge of CG in 3ds Max, V-Ray and
Digital Fusion.
CG Supervisor/Art Director that specializes in stylized, colorful, Pixar-like visuals. This CG Supervisor is a key leader at Blur, overseeing the projects through the production pipeline from concept design to final frames. Partnering with the Director, Producer and Studio Supervisors, the ideal candidate is a strong leader, communicator and CG generalist. They manage a team of experienced artists to establish and elevate the quality and vision of a variety of projects, from film fx, commercials, and cinematics. Minimum 5 years of production experience and minimum 1-2 years experience in a lead or supervisor position needed. Expert knowledge of CG animation packages (3ds Max and Vray experience preferable, but not essential.)
FX ARTIST:
The FX Artist at Blur has a solid understanding of particles, atmospherics, rigid body dynamics and fluid simulations with strong lighting and comping abilities. They create natural phenomena such as water, dust, smoke, explosions along with the destruction of buildings, vehicles, space ships, planets and anything else you can think of. A strong understanding of motion and scale of an effect is important. Minimum of 1-2 years production experience and an expert knowledge of CG FX software is required. (3ds Max, Thinking Particles, Pflow, Fume, Ray Fire, Vray, Realflow and Digital Fusion are all a plus.)
PREVISUALIZATION ARTIST:
Previs Animators at Blur collaborate with the Director to shape the project through solid camera work, editing and animation. Great visual storytelling skills & a well rounded understanding of the language of the camera - framing, perspective, lenses, coverage, continuity, camera movement, blocking - are a must. This is not a junior animator position, at least 3 years experience a must.
CHARACTER MODELER:
At Blur, Character Modelers produce organic and mechanical models including high quality, stylized and photorealistic models of creatures, humans, robots and cartoony characters. Artists build the models from scratch and see them through the modeling pipeline from start to finish.
