INDIA POSITIONS
LIGHTING TD
Lighting TD's are responsible for creating lit
environments and elements, including placing key lights, creating
shadows, etc. for both live action integration and fully CG images.
Lighting TD's work in these general areas: environment simulation,
material property/shader specification, light position and color, and
compositing (both as a means of lighting and the combining of scene
elements). In addition to creating photorealistic CG lighting, Lighting
TD's would be expected to write and/or support tools to facilitate
different lighting and rendering techniques. The focus is ensuring shots
can be delivered efficiently, at the very highest standard. TD's must
have a strong knowledge of lighting in general as well as layer
management and a thorough understanding of the AOVs/frame buffers that
the Compositing Department may need.
Experience and Skills Required
• 5+ years experience as a Lighting Technical Director.
• Extensive experience in a wide range of CG Lighting techniques and technical methods
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug common rendering issues
• Strong working knowledge of a production-level pipeline a necessity
• Proficiency in one or more professional graphics package C++/Python APIs and Mel Scripting.
Employment will be full time contractual ranging from 3 months to 1 year depending on the length of the show.

View-D™ is a proprietary 2D-to-3D conversion process that allows
filmmakers to efficiently create stereoscopic 3D movies from source
material shot on virtually any medium. The successful applicants will be
trained in View-D™ at our studio in Royal Palms - Mainframe, which is
Asia's largest visual entertainment facility with over 700 creative
professionals working under one roof.
You should have a very keen eye for detail always striving for
creative and technical excellence, and a good understanding of
photography and the interaction of light. The ability to lead others
