FX Artist

 JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a few rock star FX Artists to join our visual effects team. If you fit the bill and are available for an immediate start, we would like to hear from you.
Ideal qualifications include:
• 3-4 years experience in a film or commercial production environment.
• Must be proficient in creating a high level of dynamics, smoke and fluid sims and particle effects.
• Expertise in Houdini or Fume or Krakotoa and various supporting applications.
• Ability to create efficient render passes essential.
• Python programming skills and/or ability to create tools and scripts to facilitate workflow are an advantage.
• Proven ability to work closely with other artists under tight production schedules.
• Able to share techniques with peers and communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to react and respond quickly to the needs of management and clients.
• Position located in the San Francisco Bay area.

Compositor

We are looking for a few Compositors to join our core staff. Ideal candidates are able to guide jobs, have insane attention to detail and triumph in turning ordinary shots into art-directed masterpieces.
Ideal qualifications include:
• 2-4 years experience in a film or commercial production environment.
• Expert user of The Foundry’s Nuke.
• Must be well versed in 2D & 3D concepts and workflows.
• A keen eye for color and lighting integration.
• Excellent roto and tracking skills a must.
• Photography background a plus.
• Able to share techniques with peers and communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to react and respond quickly to the needs of management and clients.
• Position located in the San Francisco Bay area.

 

Assistant VFX Editor

We are looking for a gifted Assistant VFX Editor to join our team. If you feel you have what we’re looking for and live or can relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area, then please get in touch!
Ideal qualifications include:
• At least 1 year editing experience in a film or commercial production environment.
• Must be proficient in Final Cut Pro.
• Ability to manage inbound and outbound editorial material, perform quality checks and maintain projects, cuts and timelines.
• Efficiently update sequences and communicate changes to our team.
• Liaise with client’s editorial team and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Evidence of a broad spectrum of skills and experience with Avid or Nuke are an advantage.
• Strong listener and ability to react to editorial requests quickly during reviews and dailies.
• Position located in the San Francisco Bay area.
